Our History
Since 2007 Big Brothers Giving Back
continues to grow and expand in the Upshur County area. Working together with Gilmer ISD and community agencies with the goal of bringing our community together and improving opportunities for our youth.

Every year Big Brothers Giving Back gives a scholarship to a deserving high school senior
Trey Washington was a guest speaker at the meeting on June 27th .Trey spoke about how
he benefited from being in the Big Brothers Giving Back program and how he has gone on to graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelors degree and went on to obtain a Master’s degree. He is married now with two children.
